• Michael Alaimo passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, in Burbank, California, as confirmed by his daughter Gabriella Alaimo Thomas on May 21.
• Alaimo was best known for his roles in the Oscar-nominated 'The China Syndrome' (1979) and the cult favorite 'Space Jam' (1996), where he shared the screen with Michael Jordan and Bill Murray.
• His career began in avant-garde theater, performing with Joseph Papp’s NY Shakespeare in Central Park troupe from 1961 to 1964, and included political activism in East Harlem.
