Vince Carter's Jersey to Be Retired by Toronto Raptors

NBA legend Vince Carter will visit Toronto for the ceremony and unveil renovations to Vince Carter Court in Dixon Park.

  • Vince Carter, a Hall of Famer and former Toronto Raptors star, will be in Toronto on Friday.
  • The Raptors are expected to announce the retirement of Carter's No. 15 jersey, making him the first player in team history to receive this honor.
  • Carter will also participate in the unveiling of renovations to the Vince Carter Court in Dixon Park, originally built by his Embassy of Hope Foundation in 2003.
  • Raptors president and vice-chairman Masai Ujiri is scheduled to attend the event.
  • Carter, a seven-time all-star and the 1998-99 NBA Rookie of the Year, played seven seasons with the Raptors, averaging 23.4 points over 403 regular-season games.
