Virginia Lawmakers Respond to Governor Youngkin's First Legislative Actions

Virginia General Assembly convened for a one-day session to consider Governor Glenn Youngkin's proposed amendments and vetoes to recently passed bills.
Governor Youngkin signed 738 bills into law but proposed changes to 78 and vetoed 3 others in his first legislative actions.
Lawmakers in both chambers will vote on whether to incorporate or override the Governor's amendments and vetoes during Wednesday's session.
The state budget remains unfinished as budget negotiators have not yet reached a deal.
