Visions of Mana Co-Director Kenji Ozawa Launches Studio Sasanqua

The new studio aims to prioritize smaller projects and protect creators after the closure of NetEase-owned Ouka Studios.

Kenji Ozawa, co-director of Visions of Mana, has founded Studio Sasanqua following the closure of Ouka Studios by NetEase.
Studio Sasanqua will initially focus on developing smaller games using Unreal Engine, with plans to eventually create larger PC and console titles.
Ozawa stated his motivation for creating the studio was to establish an environment where management takes responsibility for failures rather than placing the burden on developers.
NetEase has been scaling back its international investments, including the closure of multiple studios, as part of structural changes in its global operations.
Ryosuke Yoshida, the other co-director of Visions of Mana, has since joined Square Enix, while Ozawa is taking on the role of CEO at Studio Sasanqua.
