Volkswagen Unveils Concept for Affordable Electric Car ID. Every1

The 20,000-euro electric vehicle is planned for release in 2027, aiming to make EVs more accessible, but faces stiff competition from rivals already in the market.

Volkswagen has presented the ID. Every1 concept, a small electric car expected to cost around 20,000 euros and launch in 2027.
The ID. Every1 is intended to fill the gap in VW's lineup for affordable EVs, following the discontinuation of the e-Up in 2023.
The car will feature a new software architecture developed with Rivian, enabling over-the-air updates and customization similar to smartphones.
With a range of at least 250 kilometers and a top speed of 130 km/h, the ID. Every1 aims to balance affordability with practicality.
Volkswagen faces significant pressure from competitors like Renault, Hyundai, and Chinese automakers, who already offer budget EVs in Europe.
