Walmart Settles Claims It Illegally Sold Brass Knuckles in California, Agrees to Cease Sales and Pay $500,000

Walmart will pay $500,000 in penalties and settlements to California over claims it sold illegal brass knuckles through its website.
At least 250 products classified as brass knuckles were sold through Walmart's website, with Walmart selling 60% directly and third-party sellers representing 40%.
California law prohibits brass knuckles as a deadly weapon, and 21 other states also ban their sale.
As part of the settlement, Walmart will stop selling brass knuckles on its website and require third-party sellers to do the same.
Walmart will also try to notify California customers who bought the weapons that they are illegal and should surrender them.
