Warren Buffett Donates $4.64 Billion in Berkshire Stock to Five Foundations

Buffett’s annual donation of nearly $5 billion of Berkshire Hathaway shares brings his total giving to over $51 billion since 2006.
The Gates Foundation received the largest gift of over 10 million shares worth nearly $2.7 billion.
Buffett plans to ultimately give away nearly his entire fortune and has already donated over half his Berkshire shares.
The five foundations receiving shares focus on global health, education, hunger, women and girls, and public safety.
Buffett’s remaining shares in Berkshire Hathaway are worth an estimated $112 billion.
