West Virginia Nears Deal to Hire North Texas Coach Ross Hodge

Hodge has guided North Texas to a 27-8 season and a spot in the NIT Final Four, where they recently defeated Oklahoma State.
The hiring would reunite Hodge with West Virginia athletic director Wren Baker, who previously worked with him at North Texas.
If hired, Hodge would replace Darian DeVries, who left West Virginia after one season to take the head coaching role at Indiana.
Known for his defensive coaching, Hodge has built North Texas into one of the nation's top defensive teams, ranking third in scoring defense this season.
