'Wicked' Film Wraps Production

Cast and Director Share Emotional Farewells and Teasers for the Highly Anticipated Adaptation

Filming for the cinematic adaptation of the stage musical 'Wicked' has officially wrapped up, with cast members Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Jonathan Bailey sharing emotional posts on social media.
Director Jon Chu described the production as 'the most ambitious cinematic production I have ever been a part of or, frankly, ever witnessed', mentioning the creation of real-life sets such as Munchkinland and Shiz University Campus.
Ariana Grande, who plays Glinda, and Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, both shared black-and-white photos of their characters, expressing their gratitude and excitement for the project.
Jonathan Bailey, who plays Fiyero, also shared a photo with the caption 'Danced on through', while other cast members like Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and Bowen Yang have also been highlighted.
The first part of 'Wicked' is still slated to hit theaters on Nov. 27, 2024, and part 2 a year later, on Nov. 26, 2025.
