Widespread Vandalism Targets Election Posters Across Germany

Political posters from various parties have been destroyed or defaced in multiple cities, raising concerns about the escalation of politically motivated vandalism during the election campaign.

• In Ravensburg, over 100 election posters of the Green Party were torn down and vandalized, causing damages exceeding €1,000.
• Similar incidents occurred in Leutkirch, Aitrach, and Aichstetten, where Green Party posters were defaced with graffiti and ripped apart.
• In Oschersleben and Wanzleben, approximately 120 CDU posters were stolen or damaged, including large-format billboards, also resulting in €1,000 in damages.
• Oberhausen experienced a targeted attack on CDU posters, with 30 small posters and two large ones destroyed in the affluent Königshardt district.
