- The company was designated a severe violator after an employee was killed while working with logging equipment in 2018.
- An inspection in July 2023 found violations of multiple federal safety regulations, including inadequate guards on machines, stairs without railings, and open electrical boxes.
- The company failed to affix personal locks needed as part of a lockout/tagout program to prevent equipment from operating while employees cleared debris, changed blades, and serviced equipment.
- The company has 15 business days from receipt of its citations and penalties to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA’s area director, or contest the findings before the independent Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
