Woman Abducted as Toddler in Connecticut 25 Years Ago Found Alive in Mexico

Her father, who had legal custody, searched for her in Mexico multiple times but was unable to make contact until her identity was confirmed through advanced DNA testing.
Detective Kealyn Nivakoff of the New Haven Police Department reopened the cold case in 2023, using interviews, search warrants, and social media to locate Reyes.
The DNA testing company Othram confirmed Reyes' identity, enabling her to reconnect with her father after decades apart.
An arrest warrant for Rosa Tenorio remains active in the United States, but authorities believe she is still residing in Mexico.
