Woman Found Dead in NYC Trash Chute Identified as Missing 24-Year-Old

Police do not suspect foul play in the death of Jaclyn Elmquist, who was last seen leaving a work party in Manhattan.

Jaclyn Elmquist, a 24-year-old woman from Minnesota, was found dead at the bottom of a trash chute in a luxury apartment building in Manhattan.
Elmquist was last seen leaving a work party and getting into a cab outside Catch Steakhouse in Manhattan.
Surveillance footage shows Elmquist stumbling down the sidewalk and attempting to open several locked doors before entering the building where her body was later found.
Police do not suspect foul play and believe Elmquist may have fallen down the garbage chute.
The cause of death is pending an autopsy by the city Medical Examiner’s office.
