Woman Pleads Guilty to Fatally Shoving 87-Year-Old Vocal Coach, Gets 8 Years in Prison

Lauren Pazienza pleaded guilty to manslaughter for fatally shoving Barbara Gustern, an 87-year-old vocal coach.
Pazienza will serve eight years in prison under a plea deal instead of a potential maximum sentence of 25 years.
The attack appeared random and unprovoked after Pazienza angrily left a park where she had been drinking.
Gustern suffered a brain hemorrhage, was hospitalized, and died five days after being shoved to the ground.
After the attack, Pazienza deleted her social media, fled to Long Island, and eventually turned herself in.
