Wrightbus Secures Historic £500M Order for 1,200 Electric Buses

The deal with Go-Ahead marks a significant investment in the UK's green transport infrastructure, supporting thousands of jobs.

Wrightbus, based in Ballymena, signed its largest-ever contract to supply over 1,200 electric buses to Go-Ahead over the next three years.
The £500 million investment will primarily benefit London, with plans to deploy the majority of the buses there, enhancing the city's zero-emission fleet.
This deal will secure 500 jobs at Wrightbus and support an additional 2,000 jobs across the UK supply chain.
A new manufacturing line will be established in partnership with Go-Ahead, contributing to the UK's leadership in bus manufacturing.
For every bus manufactured, 10 trees will be planted in the towns and cities where they are deployed, promoting environmental benefits.
