Xreal Unveils Augmented Reality Air 2 and Air 2 Pro Glasses, Now Open for Preorders
Upgraded AR Glasses Offer Improved Resolution, Brightness, and Comfort; Advanced Pro Model Features Electrochromic Dimming for Personalized Immersion Levels
- Xreal Air 2 and Air 2 Pro, the next-generation augmented reality glasses, are now available for pre-orders in Europe, the U.S., and the U.K. The glasses were first launched in China last month.
- The Xreal Air 2 glasses feature Sony’s latest 0.55-inch micro-OLED display technology, offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 per eye and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. They also feature 500 nits of brightness, a higher boost than the original Xreal Air glasses that provided up to 400 nits.
- The glasses have been designed to be 10% thinner and lighter than their predecessor, featuring improved elastic temples, a new set of 'AirFit' nose pads and softer materials to allow for enhanced comfort during prolonged usage.
- The upgraded speaker system in the Xreal Air 2 series delivers wrap-around spatial audio experience that uses an open-ear design. The audio provides an immersive sound experience without disturbing others and ensures clear voice calls.
- Xreal Air 2 and Air 2 Pro come with an added feature of electrochromic dimming, an option on Xreal Air 2 Pro, that allows the users to regulate the amount of light the glasses let in, thus controlling the level of immersion. They are available for pre-order at $399 and $449 respectively.
