Yellowstone Rangers Prevent Potential Mass Shooting, Gunman Killed

Samson Lucas Bariah Fussner, an employee at the park, was shot after threatening July 4 violence and holding a woman hostage.

Fussner, 28, was armed with a semi-automatic rifle and fired at a dining facility with 200 people inside.
The incident began when a woman reported being held at gunpoint by Fussner, who threatened mass shootings outside the park.
More than 20 law enforcement rangers were involved in locating and confronting Fussner.
One ranger was injured during the shootout but has since been released from the hospital.
The FBI is leading the investigation, with support from the National Park Service and other agencies.
